Being a sergeant, I'm not in line for an assigned UPR. I can carry a personally owned UPR and just ordered my Colt AR-15 today. (Colt is mandated by our department for reasons even I, a firearms instructor, cannot understand.)

Does ITTS have any suggestions for an appropriate light mount for my weapon? I am leaning toward Surefire, but the M500 and M900 cost big bucks thatI could otherwise spend on training and equipment. That said, I don't mind spending the big bucks we sergeants make on the best equipment. A light that prevents an OIS or lets me hit them before they hit me is worth every dinar spent on it. (Not to mention, bright lights have a real CDI factor.)
