I first heard of ITTS from http://Calguns.net while looking for gun training classes. I own a Glock 35 for 2 months now and was a decent shooter with some small bad habits but after taking the Defensive Handgun course I now can say I am a much better shooter.

Day one is all class and you do not shoot. You talk a lot about gun safety, CA gun laws, when can you shoot someone in self defense, basically it's like a class of how to own a gun and stay out of jail or stay alive.

Day two is when the fun begins. This is when you start shooting at paper targets at center mass and doing headshots. You do a lot of drills then move onto shooting reactive steel targets (targets that fall down) and 50 yard steel targets that give out a loud bell ring when hit. You will also get the chance to hit a steel target that's 135 yards away. It's tough but I got it on my 3rd shot.

I probably shot over 200 rounds on day two and all I have to say is that I wish I went to ITTS sooner than spending ammo on indoor/outdoor ranges wasting it.

At the end of the training day you get a free ITTS shirt and a nice looking certificate. If you win one of their shooting competitions you get a free ITTS hat or sweatshirt. I got the hat.

Brett, Scott, Ray, and Mark are all great people to talk to and great instructors as well. Many thanks to them.

If you plan on getting a gun for home defense or want to be more proficient with it then sign up for their classes today! I just signed up for their Defensive Handgun II Course for next month.
